A Monday Taster

After the weather played its tricks over the weekend and on Monday morning, at last an opportunity for our guests Frances and Stanley Ipson to check out sailing (and perhaps a chance to helm) on Satyr with members Mark Gadd and Marc Tebbutt with support from Mike Threadgill and Dave Grundy pontoon Charlies.

Frances deparating the pontoon at Rutland Sailing Club.

and here she comes back. Did she helm? What do you think judging by her beaming face?

Absolutely she did! Memories of sailing with her Dad and her brother on a Mirror Dinghy came flooding back. Me thinks we haven’t seen the last of this lady or her husband Stan who was next to sail.

Thanks to my friends at RCSSC who took out Class of 2016 #walk1000 miles friends on our keel boats. Ordinary members doing amazing things for our friendly little club.
