Am I glad I went for a Sail?

“Will you look back on life and say ‘I wish I had’ or ‘I’m glad I did’?”

Thanks Andy for setting up this day in what I know is a very busy life, work, family and community – so glad you found time to spend on yourself and with us. Fabulous day and just the tonic for us all as it happens

Andy lives a busy life and the only way he can make time for a sail is to manage his time and put it down in his diary. Which is why, way back at the beginning of the season, this sailing day was booked in.

But what happens if ? ……….. As it happens I managed to crock my neck and shoulder and my movements and particularly looking up, was very uncomfortable – so we thought about cancelling. Then we though of our sailing buddies and asked if they could help us out? Of course they did and this video captures the spirit of the day.

Glorious Sunshine, Winds the lake almost to ourselves and even with issues I was able to get aboard and enjoy a sail with good sailing friends. I was only able to join for the afternoon and the guys dropped by the pontoon and I stepped aboard and was whisked away to enjoy great sailing. Sorely tempted to take up John’s offer to helm, I resisted – but did so enjoy the conditions and the company and, as you can see – we all had a laugh too.

Top day guys. “Glad I did”.

Still a month and a half of sailing season left folks. Book yourself in. You’ll be glad you did.
