RSC – Pandora’s Box of Delights

Rutland Water – Home of RSC and RCSSC Sailing and more ….

RCSSC? RSC? CSSA? CSSC? Confused? Interested? What on earth is this all about? Why should you even be interested?

Let’s start with little ‘ol RCSSC (Rutland Civil Service Sailing Club) We are a small and friendly club that sails keelboats, giving access to sailing and you won’t be capsizing or have to drive to the coast to sail. Actually, joining this little club is rather like Pandora’s box with opportunities for sailing and more …. read on.

The home of RCSSC is RSC (Rutland Sailing Club) a premier UK, which boldly states on its website banner ‘the best inland sailing in the UK’. Some of our members go on to own their own boats, take advantage of Rutland Sailing School for them, their children and more. The facilities are brilliant and there are regular national and international sailing events – something for everyone. We feel privileged to be corporate members and actively support RSC – RSC Open Day is on Saturday 15th June 19 and you are invited

The CSSA (Civil Service Sailing Association) is the governing body for Civil Service Sailing across the UK with clubs offshore, dinghy and RCSSC keelboats sailing. Lot’s of opportunities to sail wider and develop your sailing skills offshore and more.

The CSSC (Civil Service Sport Council) Sports and Leisure Club is the over arching organisation which the CSSA / RCSSC is a part of, where you can discover a fantastic range of offers, events and savings whether you are sport or not – there is something for everyone here. The CSSC has been around for a while, and the story of CSSC starts in 1863 and is a fascinating and recommended read.

The CSSC team recently came to RCSSC/ RSC for a taster sail and were wowed by the facilities of RSC and beauty of Rutland Water.
