Mike Simmons joins John and Dave for a sail aboard Time Flies

“Can I join you for a sail sometime?” and here’s Mike sailing Time Flies with John Cranwell Ward and Dave Grundy.

When we first arrived, the wind conditions were very light and ever the optimist, we decided to take Time Flies out as she is so responsive, even in light winds.

We were delight that Mike Simmons joined us for sail and he was soon getting involved, helping rig and launch and joining in the conversation/ banter. It soon became clear he had sailed before.

What’s not to like? A steady F3 and sunshine sailing Time Flies and good company

In the afternoon the wind did pick up and we did touch 7 knots at one stage. Mike’s hand seem to be stuck to the tiller 😉

How fast are we going? Yes Mike and John I know we made 7 knots, but this was the screen shot I captured 😉

About Dave Grundy

Joined RCSSC after over 25 years gap from sailing offshore and dinghies. I quickly got involved and became the Sailing Secretary, later the Treasurer and for three years RCSSC Club Commodore ( Now title is Club Captain) So glad I found RCSSC.
